    Hi

I am curious about knowing how much time does it actually take to shrink a volume using Vista's inbuilt feature. I am in the process of shrinking my laptop's 160GB hdd by 10GB: the process has started but there is no indication of how much time will it take to complete or the percentage of work completed. I can use my computer normally including the computer management console window; the only indicator that something is going on in the background is the busy cursor when I point the mouse cursor to somewhere inside the console window. And I don't want to hibernate or shut down my computer unless this operation finishes; otherwise it can be a pain.

    Any pointers??

Say you decided to shrink Volume D, click on the graphics that are displayed below and it should show you how much time is left
