inquiry about replacing memory card in win vista?

    iam wondering if i can replace a memory card on my laptop? or would it be wise to let a pro do it?

    it's really easy but if you're not too familiar with computers, it'd be better to get a technician to do it

    easy by way of.... powering off the comp, removing the batt, unscrewing all the screws, locating the memory section i have a compaq presario f700 series comp..what color is the memory card(s)

    Generally for desktops, I use a program such as PCWizard to have it tell me what kind of RAM the computer is using. You can try it and see if it can identify laptop ram
