I have a laptop running vista (my desktop is XP, which I am familiar with). How do I know if I have 32bit or 64bit and what is the difference? Thanks for help

hello coppertop, welcome to the forums. You can open start, then right click on computer, and choose properties. it should show you which version of Windows Vista you have.

This website can tell you a bit about 64-bit:

I personally do not use it, so I don't know too much about 64-bit.

If Vista came with your laptop, you most likely have 32-bit.
