Creating a partition requires resizing an older partition to create empty unpartitioned disk space on your drive, then formatting the disk space under a new drive letter.

Follow this article to shrink the old partition:
http://www.vistarewired.com/2007/02/16/how-to-resize-a-partition-in-windows-vista

Then right click on the unpartitioned empty space and select "Format" to create the new partition.

Hi!
Being a total newbie at computers, I am unaware of how to create a partition, so I can keep the OS in C drive and my other programs on separate drives. I have a PC with windows Vista on C drive and a factory backup on D drive.

Shall appreciate any assistance in this regard.

Thank you,
