I tried all of that and I found 2 way.

1. rollback your wireless driver going to divice manager right click and roll back the driver.

2. Buy usb wireless adaptor for laptop with the same brand you have wireless router and use that.

Same problem as so many of you, new Vista desktop main comp wont find net connection many times a day (after its been idle for a while) while notebook and laptop on wireless can find it. I use diagnose and repair to fix it each time. This comp came with free upgrade to XP and i am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I hope that fixes this annoying problem.

The common thread that runs through this part of the forum is that many people with a variety of hardware and ISPs are having the same problem. It all points to fatal errors within VISTA.... One thing I have tried when the "Diagnose Connection Problem" screen comes up is to simply hit the Back key and Retry the page that supposedly cannot be displayed... 75% of the time it will load after one or two re-clicks...

Gawd, I hope Windows 7 is more like good ole XP!

My son't laptop has Vista. He can still access his Myspace IM, and other things that he has made shortcuts for on his desktop, which tells me his actual connection is fine, but the when he tries to open IE,it says "cannot load... will notify you when a solution to the problem is found"..... Help!
