Windows Disk Cleanup Alternative
Honestly speaking, when was the last time the Disk Cleanup actually freed up a significant amount of data so you could comfortably use your hard drive? It was probably so far back ago that you don’t remember. Instead of using the usual Windows Disk Cleanup, we will be using a program called CCleaner that managed to remove 11X more data than the Windows Utility during my test.
CCleaner allows you to remove a lot more than the Windows utility so you will have to be a little bit more aware before removing the files. The neat thing about Ccleaner is that it also comes in with a registry analyzer that fixes any problems or inconsistencies found. You can download the program here.
To demonstrate the effectiveness of the program, let’s compare how much data each program could remove. This test was done on 20 GB partition with 4.20 GB space free.
Windows Disk Cleanup Utility - 48.4 MB:

Ccleaner - 541.9 MB:

So why didn’t you checked the rest to of the files in disk cleanup? Would’ve make the 500mb files removal.
